For the New York world premiere of F1 The Movie, producer Jerry Bruckheimer wore a bespoke Atlas seersucker suit created to balance formal precision with the ease of summer tailoring.
Held at Radio City Music Hall on June 16, 2025, the premiere brought together the film’s cast, creative team and figures from the world of Formula One. Bruckheimer joined fellow producers Lewis Hamilton, Brad Pitt, Joseph Kosinski, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman to mark the film’s global unveiling.
For the occasion, Atlas developed a lightweight suit defined by natural structure, clean proportion and quiet distinction. Rather than treating seersucker as a purely casual or seasonal cloth, the commission reinterpreted the textile through the discipline of bespoke tailoring.
Seersucker, Reconsidered
Selected for its texture, breathability and natural movement, the premium cotton-blend seersucker offered a refined alternative to conventional summer suiting.
The fabric’s subtly puckered surface allows portions of the cloth to sit slightly away from the body, encouraging airflow while reducing the need for heavy internal construction. Its alternating smooth and textured lines introduce dimension without relying on a pronounced pattern, allowing the cloth to retain visual interest from both near and far.
Lightweight but not without presence, the textile holds a crisp silhouette while moving comfortably with the wearer. Under the changing light of an evening premiere, the dimensional surface lends the suit a quiet complexity - formal in proportion, yet relaxed in character.
Tailored for Ease
The jacket was cut with a classic notch lapel and a softly structured shoulder, creating a composed line without unnecessary rigidity. A half-canvas interior allowed the garment to retain its shape while preserving the lightness required of warm-weather tailoring.
Hand-stitched pick edges defined the lapels and front of the jacket with subtle precision. Natural horn buttons introduced tonal depth, while a double-vented back supported ease of movement and maintained the balance of the silhouette.
Inside, a signature Atlas silk lining drew inspiration from track lines and racing curves—a discreet reference to the world surrounding the commission. The detail remained private, visible primarily to the wearer and characteristic of the personal elements found throughout the Atlas bespoke process.
